Badiaa Bouhrizi / Tunesia
also known by her stage name Neysatu, is a singer-songwriter and composer who represents the alternative music scene in Tunisia. Neysatu claims herself from the lineage of musicians such as Björk, Oumou Sangaré , Oum Kalthoum, Kamilya Jubran and Saliha. The Neysatu project voices the new sound of North Africa. Born from the underground scene where it claims its hybrid and multiple cultural heritages, drawing inspiration from African music, Reggae, classical Arabic music as well as the new British scene, Neysatu is a musical experience and a voice that neither wishes itself to be traditional nor polished folklore, nor an artificial fusion, but only an expression of authentic music. For LatinArab vol.6 she presents her electronica project called KAHRUMUSIQA which evolves around trance like womanhood.

Ernesto Chahoud / Lebanon
Ernesto Chahoud is a Lebanese DJ, record collector, compiler and the owner of Darkso record store. He co-founded The Beirut Groove Collective, a decade-old vinyl DJ collective that throws one of Beirut’s hippest weekly parties, playing obscure 1960s and 1970s clubbing records from around the world. Owner of one of the largest record collections in the Middle East, Ernesto specialises in Arabic and Ethiopian music – his taste for little-known gems and dancefloor stompers for his DJ box have taken him on digging trips around the world. In 2018, on UK record label BBE, he released ‘Taitu’, a 24-track compilation of soul-fuelled stompers from 1970s Ethiopia. A second edition, compiled with his DJ partner JJ Whitefield, will be released this year. Ernesto has also curated BBE’s upcoming Middle Eastern Heavens reissue series, a collection of progressive records from the Arab World’s 1970s and 1980s golden age for experimentation in music – the first release by the godfather of bellydance disco Ihsan Al Munzer is due out in early 2020. Ernesto also hosts monthly radio shows on NTS and Totally Wired Radio, where he showcases music from his far-ranging collection.

is a latin/arabic rooted dj / composer / producer. Born & raised in Paris, between downtown and suburbs, he grew up surrounded by different cultures that really built him, first as a human being and later as an artist. Rafael Aragon’s music is mainly club oriented, heavy bass material, yet delicate, maximalist and highly psychedelic. With a very special, magic touch inspired by the ancient traditions of shamanism from all around the world!
